Digital Compositing Reel for the Shortfilm ``AMO´´ in 2016
My role in the project was to, design, prepare and supervise the visual effects elements required to produce the digital composited shots. As well as compose the final shots delivered. Develop a graphical language and animate the digital screens.
From an early stage of the project it was clear that the plates required to compose some of the shots where not defined, so I took the concept of the simple visual narrative and designed the vfx in a simple and effective way of shooting.
The exterior house CG renders were done by Jeronimo Cabezas. And additional Compositing was done by Dani Garcia.
The concept behind the visual aesthetics was a mixture of victorian aesthetics and retro graphic style. Very simple and clear shapes with almost decorative use but with a clear functionality. The main goal was not to give a clear indications on what it was going in the AMO´s mind, but rather to give an interpretation of the ``senses´´of the robot.
Short Film 17 min.
Directed by Alex Gargot.

I had the chance to develop a in-house nuke (gizmo) tool ¨TV_Effects¨
It allows to generate various looks and effects similar to a VHS, Led screen display, CRT monitor or Cellphone to name a few. The tool was done entirely with TCL scripting and Python callbacks. The gizmo allows the artist to generate several layers of effects in a friendly GUI with a minimum impact on memory efficiency and node weight.
The gizmo is stereo ready, and it was used in several sequences throughout the film.
